Living joyfully, Dying well

Several days ago Pete Oakley, my webmaster, called to ask if I wanted to continue with my blog.  If so, he would register my domain for another year.  I suggested that he extend it at least two more years. By then I will have moved from being an octogenarian to a nonagenarian. I am also putting the future of the website in care of my daughter. The website is slowly growing in popularity and the Old Fool wonders why.

You will notice that in the domain name “OLD FOOLS” is plural.  That suggests that this blog is for more than one old fool.  In this post I will call attention to some candidates for the title.

Jep Hostetler is a retired teacher of physicians at Ohio State Medical University and is a magician,  humorist and inspirational speaker. Take a look at him in action on you tube here.

Hostetler  has teamed with Dr. Glen  Miller, a retired development worker in India, hospital administrator and physician to produce a new webisite titled  Living Joyfully, Dying Well.

It seems appropriate that these two aging professionals  should combine their senior gifts to benefit those who are also seniors, or who care for seniors.

I know that I could not manage the website without the help of Pete Oakley and I recommend his services.

About Martin Lehman

I was born 92 years ago, the son of a Mennonite pastor and organic gardener in Franklin County, Pennsylvania. At age 10 I was baptized as a member of the Marion Mennonite Church. I own the "Old Fool" moniker because I want to walk the Jesus Way even though the world and much of the church takes me as a fool for doing so. In my life I have moved from being a young conservative to an elderly radical. I tell that story in My Faith Journey posted on my website.

  1. Thanks Martin, for a plug for our blogs. Your blog is truly fascinating. I have gone back and looked at many of your musings…what fun! Also provocative (in the best sense) with a bit of actual truth-telling. (How refreshing).

Your blogs will be a great encouragement to us old timers who are journeying toward the sunset, so I hope you will keep it up.
